Accent Capital advises EST on its strategic alignment with the Vulcain Engineering Group.

Accent Capital advised EST – Empresa Serviços Técnicos, S.A., a Portuguese leader in industrial electrical installations, instrumentation, electrical systems manufacturing, automation and robotics, in connection with the sale of a 70% stake in its share capital to Vulcain Engineering, the French engineering group and a leading player in the energy and industrial transition.

This transaction marks a significant milestone in the 35-year history of EST, headquartered in Boa Vista, Leiria. It will enable the company to accelerate its European expansion and further develop its offering in strategic sectors including nuclear, pharmaceuticals, naval and rail infrastructure, leveraging the complementary expertise of the two groups.

For Vulcain Engineering, headquartered in Neuilly-sur-Seine and present in 17 countries with more than 6,000 employees, the transaction strengthens its footprint in Southern Europe and enhances its capabilities in industrial electricity, instrumentation and automation.

The transaction ensures continuity of operations, stability of the management team and the continuation of EST’s development strategy, with Mário Rodrigues remaining Chairman.

In this transaction, Accent Capital delivered a tightly coordinated cross-border process and a sharp understanding of the industrial and strategic dynamics between Portugal and the wider European market, helping align the interests of both groups and secure a coherent, value-creating and sustainable partnership.
